1. What these terms cover

These terms set out the rules for using the Kitsuzen app for Android. The app is operated by Tomáš Vaverka, whose details appear at the top of this page. Premium purchases are made through Google Play and are also subject to the store’s applicable terms. Simply visiting this website does not mean you are ordering any paid service.

2. What you can use for free

The free version helps you plan your day, capture thoughts and look back at what you’ve accomplished. Without an account, you can use:

• the daily task selection and weekly mix;
• Brain dump;
• the focus timer;
• in-app rituals and the Balance view;
• backup and export.

These features also work without the internet. Dictation depends on the system’s speech recognition service; see the privacy policy for details. The free version has no time limit.

3. Premium

Premium is an optional paid subscription. It requires Google sign-in and adds:

• access to your full weekly reflection history;
• monthly and yearly reflections;
• AI-written text for your weekly reflection;
• AI sorting of thoughts into tasks and categories;
• task suggestions that take into account the energy ratings you previously gave after completing tasks.

Energy-based task selection runs directly on your device and does not use AI.

The free version gives you access to your last four weekly reflections. Older reflections remain stored, but access to them is part of Premium.

Your subscription also supports Kitsuzen’s continued development.

You subscribe to Premium through Google Play, where you can find the current price and subscription period. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.

You can cancel automatic renewal anytime in Google Play. Premium remains available until the end of the period you have paid for.

You can restore your purchase on a new device using the same Google account. This restores access to Premium, not the tasks or other content from your previous device.

Google Play handles payment and subscription management. You can request a refund through its form. If Premium is not working properly, contact us at hello@kitsuzen.com or through the Support page. Using Google Play does not affect your statutory rights.

4. AI features

AI helps sort your written thoughts and prepares the text for your weekly reflection. You start the sorting yourself. You can request a weekly reflection on the last day of the week. If you don’t, it is generated automatically when the week is closed, provided you have an active Premium subscription. AI-generated text is labeled in the app.

AI can make mistakes or misunderstand your notes. Check the results before using them. Don’t rely solely on AI output for important decisions. The privacy policy explains what data is sent to OpenAI and how it is processed.

Tasks for the Now view are selected directly on your device without AI. No data is sent for this selection.

5. Your content

Your tasks, notes and other content belong to you. We do not claim any rights to them.

You are responsible for the content you store and for keeping your own backups of important data. The app offers backup and export tools to help you do this.

When you use AI, the content being processed is sent outside your device. We therefore recommend leaving sensitive or unnecessary personal data out of your text. This is a recommendation, not a condition of use. For details about content transfers, see the privacy policy.

6. Fair use

You may not use the app or its AI features to break the law, harm others or disrupt the service. To protect against abuse, we may temporarily limit automated or excessively frequent requests.

7. What Kitsuzen is for

Kitsuzen helps you plan personal tasks and see how you spend your time. Energy records and weekly reviews are for your own reflection. The app does not provide healthcare or therapy, make diagnoses or replace professional care.

8. App issues and your rights

If the app or Premium is not working properly, contact us at hello@kitsuzen.com. Describe the problem and, for a paid purchase, include details that will help us locate it.

Your rights in relation to defects and our liability are governed by applicable law. As a consumer, you can request that a defect be remedied and, where the legal conditions are met, an appropriate price reduction or withdrawal from the contract. These terms do not limit your statutory rights.

9. Ending your use of the app and your subscription

You can stop using the app at any time. To remove local data, use the deletion option in the app. Delete any copies stored outside the app separately. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription; you need to cancel automatic renewal in Google Play.

If we decide to stop providing paid Premium features, we will give reasonable advance notice. If they end before the period you have paid for expires, we will arrange a refund for the corresponding unused portion of your payment.

10. Changes to these terms and resolving disputes

We will tell you about significant changes to these terms before they take effect and explain what is changing. Changes to the terms do not in themselves limit your statutory rights or your entitlements under a subscription you have already paid for.

We make changes to the paid service in accordance with the law. If a change adversely affects your use of the service to an extent that gives you a legal right to terminate the contract, we will also tell you about that right and how to exercise it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. This does not deprive you of protection under the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live.

If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a dispute by agreement, you can contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz), which provides out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
